We work hard to ensure that the people in the Borough of Enfield, whose lives have been affected by cancer, are given the support and understanding they need at this difficult time. Statistics show that one in three people will develop some form of cancer during their lifetime and for those under the age of 65; one in three will not survive. It is during this time that we provide all the help and support we can.
Support comes in the form of lymphoedema clinics, massage and other therapies, benefits advice, home sitting and befriending, night sitting as well as twice weekly drop ins and bereavement counselling for carers and families.
By adopting the Nightingale Community Hospice Trust as your charity of the year your fundraising activities will help benefit a local charity that is growing and expanding fast. New additions to our services include a breast care group for women diagnosed with cancer and outreach groups to ensure we cover the whole of the Borough rather than the nucleus surrounding the Centre.With the support of corporate partners we can continue to build and develop our services. Listening to local GPs and others in the medical profession, we strive to address the areas that will assist our clients in the most efficient way.
