Fundraising

We need supporters who are able to organise events, help at events or who don’t mind what they do but just want to help. Like most charities, we can only develop and continue our work if we continue to be supported by the community we work in. Therefore, we need people to raise funds on our behalf.

Organising events does not need to be complicated. During June we ask supporters to hold “tea @ 3” events. This could be holding a tea party for children in a nursery or for friends and family. These events can be simple in nature but they all help to raise funds for the NCHT. If you wish to take on other events we are always pleased to discuss sponsored walks, parachute jumps, abseiling etc.  The range of events is as big as your imagination! Anything from an auction of promises to wearing wellies full of jelly are all events that we welcome people to organise on our behalf. An A-Z of ideas is available to download from the website or by emailing fundraising@nightingalehospice.org.uk.

If you decide to organise an event then we ask you to complete our event information. This form must be completed regardless of the type of event you plan to organise. When the form is returned to us we can discuss the event with you and make sure it is starting off on the right foot.

We will offer you support and help with publicising any events you may wish to host and we can offer ideas that you might be able to put into practice. We can also put you in touch with other groups of fundraisers who are working with us. You will be a very welcome addition to the NCHT team.

Health and Safety is an important aspect so please ensure you complete a risk assessment for your event this will help ensure that everyone is kept safe and any risks are minimised.
